BTW

Up until now as a plain div statement I was putting it under the <body id='ipboard_body'> tag
But with everything I have been following I needed to work with if or foreach...
adding the div statement anywhere below ..... Well it was hilarious....

Stumped on Hook
Affiliates Navigation in globalTemplate.

Well here I am stumped on this hook idea again mainly because I am tired of writing in or pasting in these statements every time I want to make a new skin.

1 The objective
To create an Affiliates Navigation bar see FIG.1.

2 Create Hook
Hook Information (Simple enough)
Requirements (Again simple should be no change both set to 0)
Global Caches From what I see nothing to do here.
Files see FIG.2.

OK up to this point I have all the makings of what I need for this hook with 1 exception... see FIG.3.

How does the above information get added to the.php file here and as you can tell I got stumped after the getOutput. I did not find anymore documentation that would finish this...

5. Woodsman added a post in a topic i need help with my forum site

Suspicious indeed...

I can't think of one good enough reason to remove a copyright with the exception of one.
No help here without a better reason than GOD told him to remove it.

Just put in a call
He said No!

I only get the more tab in FF but all tabs are fine using Chrome, Opera and IE9 with most sites.

BTW this app is working so far you don't want to know what my hooks for a top navbar and navbar addition did to my test board
I am glad I never tried a footer bar...

8. Woodsman added a post in a topic In Need of proper documentation

My way of learning this so far was to read all the docs I could find then look at others examples in their files... Which makes all of you my Professors.

I'll give this a try and see how it goes...

Here is a better explanation to what I would like to see it do...

Member (X) uploads files (a, b, and c) sent to members (W, Y, Z) Where as
Member (W) is to receive (file a) Member (Y) is to receive (file b not a the emo.... LOL!
Member (Z) is to receive (file c)

PM or inline message for files a, b, c should be sent to the respective Member W, Y or Z.

Looking at the example you have here looks to go in a notifications.php file and may send the same message to all receiving members (unless I am interpreting it wrong)

Next question would be (confusing to me) is XML language and root files...
properly writing them as well from the example.

Yes we did
I just have not had the time to add this info yet due to working on the other issue...

Still working on that one... bfarber (company blog) makes sense over the 2 in the clients support but again a bit hard to understand for us newbies at this point would have been nice if he had an example to follow...

I think my new sig will say "I am not a programmer I just buy books, read a lot, follow directions and hope for the best"

Not working.... just adds "private" to the public > style_images folder itself not the indvidual skin folders in public > style_images > "all skin" (all skins being all skin folders and master)

In Need of proper documentation
OK before I go off asking my where's and how's questions let me give you the lowdown of this application...

The Private Download Application 3.1.0-b2

The Private Download Application was designed after the IP.Download Manager but with a private downloads capability. This application will allow private uploads and downloads between administrators and staff or depending on the board administrator may allow other member groups to participate in private file downloads or exchange between permitted groups and members.
At present the following 12 file extensions are permitted in the application:
zip, gz, rar, txt, doc, pdf, php, xml, gif, jpg, png, psd and more can be added if the need should arise.

Next for the to-do list

Set the image files to load in all skin sets
Notification to receiving members about available downloads.

This application has been tested and compatible with IP.Board 3.1.x

OK now knowing this all the worldly information I have gathered to this point including IPS Documentations to make this work does not answer the following questions.
1 The style_image file only installs in the master image files not in any others and I am banging my head blind and not seeing what has to be right in front of me.
"public > style_images > master > private"

2 I would like to include a notifier to the member by PM that they have a file waiting... the docs in IPS Documentation Notification is not what I am after.
Can anyone point me to the right documentation for either of theses?

I think it would be a much nicer app without the ftp file edits
