Hello,

I want to write resources for IP.Board but I don't know where and how to start.
What knowledge do I need and how can I write sources (which software) etc.

I would definitely appreciate your help!
Thanks in advance!

You'll need an understanding of doing OOP with php and mysql. JavaScript, CSS, and HTML as well if you are thinking of something that a user sees. As far as what you use to write it. That's up to you. I use notepad 2 at work and Coda at home.

not sure it helps but I (not a coder person) use Context editor as it allows me to compare files to see changes.

Thanks buddy!

BTW,
I started learning PHP. I bought a book and I am in the half! I enjoy reading, and I am a quick learner!
My purpose is to be able to make Modifications etc.

Does anybody knows what to do next, when I will have learned all these required languages? I mean, do I have to learn the files of IPB e.g. to understand the code it's being used, or what?

You will want to have an understanding of the IPB files. Not necessary to know them front to back but at least enough to know what you are extending, working with and modifying. Just remember, modifying the core code of IPB is extremely frowned upon. And for good reason, in the old days having to do file edits everytime there was an update was hell. :)
