This is by no means a rant... seeking guidance here.
How do other resource authors handle this?
I used to think I had a good grasp on keeping my ducks in rows, but when more and more legitimate paying requests come my way, with sparing opportunities to pass the load, and few authors to pass the load to, I am admittedly becoming rather over-worked and jaded.
Is the best answer to hold my status quo and refuse further requests until the horde evens out?
I doubt it, because they keep coming, I doubt it will ever even out....
I have not taken a day of rest for 3 years now... every waking hour.
Thoughts/feedback/guidance is welcome.

Yep, pretty much, if you can't take on the work and you can't come up with anyone to refer them to, then you have to just tell new clients you can't take on the work.
