know sphinx was working before, going to look at older tutorials template (if I still have copy) to compare
I guess I'll have to actually install sphinx to find out what the issue is, it looks OK to me.
I looked at 2 older templates and it seemed ok, but I really would not know how to tell TBH.
I know there were some older versions I had used with sphinx I just forget what version it was.
I'm just "playing" with sphinx right now as I saw a few posts on it lately, I think when board went to 3.2 that version worked. since then I have moved hosts and deleted backups so don't have way to say for sure.

FWIW...may not even be worth messing with. if sphinxTemplate.php is not there system will not look for it in any way correct?
would deleting it make the app non sphinx compatible?
while IP claims sphinx support their support is lacking and its (in my opinion) just a headache for you.

yeah opening file adding blank line at end after EOF worked and allowed system to build the conf file.
seems to work too, search system (sphnx) finds tutorials I search for.
